Dublin is a very difficult and confusing city to navigate by public transport, particularly when it comes to using the complex bus network. Essentially, without local knowledge, you haven't a clue how to get anywhere.
So the amazing thing about this project, as reported in The Irish Times, is that it hasn't been done before. And why isn't Dublin City Council all over these guys and the project already?

If you've been in Dublin Airport over the last while you'll have seen that the impressive new terminal is very near completion, and it will be opening in November. Currently they are running "operational tests" with pretend passengers, designed to simulate typical airport operational scenarios and make sure that things will run smoothly, and the Airport Authority are looking for volunteer "passengers". They'll give you a goodie bag for your troubles and enter you in to a draw for bigger prizes, and you get to be among the first to "experience this exciting new building."
If new infrastructure gets your nerd juices flowing, you can apply HERE.

All in all you'd have to say that the Dublin Bike scheme has been a massive success.

... but plenty of seals on the beach today when Veda and I took the dogs for a walk. Crappy pics because I only had my phone camera with me.

At least not any time soon, and quite possibly never.
The government has decided to drop the plan to connect the Tallaght and Sandyford LUAS lines from the capital expenditure programme. Not connecting them in the first place was unbelievably stupidly short-sighted, and this decision leaves them neutered.

Penny insisted we go to the Festival Of World Cultures today. She was interested in the culture, but I was distracted by the smorgasbord of gorgeous fellas. The festival has gotten so huge and is very fun - even with a hangover.
