A number of Senators spoke out against the behaviour of the anti-gay nuts outside the Dáil (and took a swipe at the asshole bishops while they were at it)
He welcomed the views of all groups, be they bishops or penitent. But the group outside the gate, who seemed to be some kind of urban guerrillas "working on behalf of the same point of view, are people who are completely vicious, aggressive and nasty, with a total preoccupation with the sexual habits of gay people in bed."

Marriage Equality has launched a poster campaign featuring five different gay families.
We Are Family is a national poster campaign which gives visibility to same-sex families living in Ireland. The posters depict our hero families showing that these families exist in Ireland and call on members of the public to help us secure equal rights for them.
Without these amazing families, this campaign wouldn't have come to fruition. To-date the posters are on the Dublin Bus fleet and have been sent nationally to Family Resource Centres, Citizen Information Centres and Libraries.
The Herald has an interview with one of the lesbian couples who head up one of the families.

I heard chanting coming from O'Connell St this afternoon when I was on my balcony and wondered what it was about, but I was too stoned to go out and look. Thankfully my roving reporter Ian was on the spot to take this picture of a march to... save the head shops? Legalize cannabis? Something like that. Lovely weather for getting stoned and marching though.

Part 4 of BeloGTo's series of short documentaries as part of their Stand Up! LGBT Youth Awareness Week campaign.
I love how one of the baby dykes says she was a "late bloomer" because she didn't come out till she was in secondary school. Secondary school is considered late to come out now? How fabulous. The kids are all right.
Somehow I'd missed Part 2 so here it is.
I know the ginger fella is a favourite here on the blog and he gets the best line here:
"We love you anyway... But don't get AIDS!"
