No idea what the background to this is, but here's a video of an excited French waitress climbing on top of a table and loudly declaring that she's a lesbian and "can be married!", to startled applause from the customers. Presumably she was overcome with excitement at the recent passing of marriage equality in France?

Can anyone shed any light on this piece of amazingness? Maybe an Italian reader? There is no information at all on the YouTube clip. It starts with three people in sort-of old style diving bell suit type things (except the suits are decorated like American flags) emerging from the sea, and when they take off the suits they turn out to be drag queens in 1940's drag with guns, and they start to do a number and then... well, just watch it.
But can anyone tell us what it's from?

Germany's national final is on Valentine's day and there's a good chance Germany might be sticking with the cute-girl-with-a-catchy-tune formula that served them well with Lena and Satellite if they go ahead and pick this peppy number. And not only is this a cute song sung by a cute girl with a cute name, it also comes with a classic Eurovision, everybody-can-get-behind-it title: LaLaLa.

I am loving this track by Bulgarian-German hip hop artist Dena. She hasn't released her debut album yet - just a couple of singles - but this has been stuck in my head since yesterday. You can read more about her in this interview in Interview magazine, and check out some more of her stuff at her website.
I would have been more than happy to give Dena a couple of euro to download Cash, Diamond Rings, Swimming Pools but couldn't find it available on iTunes or other, so I downloaded elsewhere - but I'll make it up to her by buying her album when it comes along.
The video is really fun too, and the lyrics are speaking to this Irish queen this so-called summer:
"The sun is something that is here not,

Every photographer in the world seems to be making these short "fashion films" these days and most of them are so ridiculous - if pretty. This one set in Sicily is particularly silly, crammed as it is with every Sicillian cliché you can think of. But, at least it stars Marlon who is as beautiful as ever. But seriously? Marlon pretending to be a Sicilian fisherman! Marlon wandering shirtless through a cemetary! Marlon kissing rosary beads!
The girl model (Izabel Goulart) is stunning as well btw.
