On Saturday night in Dragon (one of Dublin's gay bars) they were having a competition for "baby drags" and one contestant really threw herself into her performance. In fact she threw herself off the stage by accident! And that may not sound very dramatic, unless you are familiar with Dragon and it's very very hight stage! It runs over the bar on scaffolding and is probably ten feet tall so it's miraculous that this queen escaped unscathed. But somehow she did (apparently she got back up shortly after and continued on) so feel free to cackle.
Or you could just watch this:

As part of a series of free events in association with the Dublin Gay Theatre Festival, tomorrow afternoon in the Exchange Collective Arts Centre (on Exchange St Upper in Temple Bar) theatre director Michael Scott will host an informal "audience with" style discussion about drag with our own Bunny, and the legendary Mr Pussy.
Sunday May 5th, 3pm.
"Veteran cross dressing entertainer Alan Ambsy (aka ‘Mr Pussy') and Northern Ireland's Drag Artiste, Chris Rowan, (aka ‘Bunny') explore their lives as performance artists throughout the decades in Ireland. Drag is a genre that kept gay life visible and built bridges of acceptance between mainstream society and the gay community. Did it contribute to a stereotype or is it a radical expression of identity in the arts.
Theatre Director Michael Scott hosts 'an audience with' type informal discussion with our two guests in the first of a series of three audience based discussions in The Exchange as part of the Free Programme of the Tenth International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival.
This is a free event - no pre-booking necessary and all are welcome.
Start time: 3pm (Duration 55 mins)"

Part 3 of the charming web documentary about Jinks Monsoon who is on the current season of RuPaul's Drag Race. I posted the first two parts previously (search the 'drag' tag).
POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT
If you haven't seen the latest episode, stop reading:
I am definitely rooting for Jinkx, though I won't be too upset if Alaska comes out on top because I think she's great too. However if bleedin' Roxy Bitch Andrews wins I'll have to give RuPaul a very stern piece of what's left of my mind.

A fun drag Atomic Kitten parody.
"Luke at me I'm back in showbiz,
I'm back on the telly and I'm back on the wiz,
Someone mind me kids, I'm still off me tits!
She's been snorting coke again"

Can anyone shed any light on this piece of amazingness? Maybe an Italian reader? There is no information at all on the YouTube clip. It starts with three people in sort-of old style diving bell suit type things (except the suits are decorated like American flags) emerging from the sea, and when they take off the suits they turn out to be drag queens in 1940's drag with guns, and they start to do a number and then... well, just watch it.
But can anyone tell us what it's from?

... THIS is a drag queen Madonna fan.
A (Brazilian?) drag queen recreates the entire MDNA show, including dance routines, costumes, projections, the lot! So if you have an hour or two to spare and would like to watch a single camera locked-off shot of a queen living out her Madonna fantasy in impressive detail, well, you're in luck.
