Artist Will StLeger, who is one of the hardy souls who will be sleeping out on the snowy streets of Dublin tonight for World AIDS Day, has also been stenciling the snow. A transient statement from a part-time transient... (or something like that. You see what I'm getting at? Sleeping rough like a transient? Oh forget it!)

Tomorrow is World AIDS Day, and although we are experiencing arctic conditions and the snow is still coming down, a group of hardy/insane individuals are going to be sleeping out on the streets of Dublin for 24 hours to raise money for Open Heart House, the resource centre and peer support group for people living with HIV/AIDS.
Reader Aidan, artist Will StLeger (whose work has appeared often on the blog), and journalist Una Mullally are among the people who will be braving the freezing conditions at College Green from noon tomorrow. If you are around Dublin city centre please go along and give them some encouragement - and hot tea/whiskey and any cash you can spare. I'm sure they would appreciate it. And you can donate online HERE.
I don't doubt their resolve, but I'm sure heir tiny gay hearts sank when they saw the weather conditions. Respect!

The "Movember" campaign for prostate cancer has to be one of the most successful and popular charity campaigns of recent years, and the genius of it is that every guy secretly wants to grow a moustache to see what he'd look like with one, and Movember gives him an excuse to grow one without fear of ridicule.
