I also think the whole Madonna Vs Gaga thing is silly, but, sometimes when I hear Gaga's monsters banging on like she's the new Madonna, I roll my eyes because Gaga has only been around for a flash. Will she still be a huge megastar in thirty years? Mybe. But it's unlikely simply because only a handful of women have ever achieved careers of that magnitude, with Madonna (who it was recently claimed* is the first pop music billionaire) being the the queen bee. That is, of course, if commercial success is what you want to measure your pop icons by. But I suspect Gaga does. You don't get to be Madonna or Gaga without being interested in commercial success.
*Admittedly it was The Sun that first put forward that claim and the internet has spent half the last week calling arguing about it.

The good folks at Thames & Hudson have given me two copies of Kylie / Fashion to give away. Squeeeeeeaaaal! It's gorgeous.

It's a lavishly illustrated large format hardback celebrating Kylie's 25 years in the business through her fasion and costume work with some of the biggest names in fashion and design. It is "curated" by William Baker, Kylie's long-time collaborator and creative director, has an introduction by Gaultier, and the dazzling photographs (candid shots of Kylie being dressed by the designers, promo shots, stage shots from her tours...) and design illustrations are accompanied by specially written texts by some of the many designers and stylists Kylie has worked with, including Dolce & Gabbana, Loubutin, Stella McCartney and many more. And of course from Kylie herself. The Kylie fans among you will wet yerselves.
"This book charts my relationship with some of the most talented people in fashion throughout my career. It makes me very proud to see gathered together all the great designers and houses I've worked with over the years. Looking through my personal archives has been a real trip down memory lane and it is the fashion that brings back moments and memories of the last twenty-five years." - Kylie Minogue
To enter, see below these few pics from the book:

TO ENTER: Send me an e-mail at PANTIBLISS@GMAIL.COM putting 'KYLIE' in the subject line, and answer this question:
The video for which Kylie song heavily featured a pair cheap, gold, second-hand hotpants that made Kylie's pert bum an icon in it's own right?
I'll pick two winners at random next Monday. Good luck!

I was already pretty sure that she was a tool from following the whole "faggot" Twitter spat, but I put some of it down to her youth and hoped she'd grow up and shut up. But after watching this I'm not going to waste any more time on this idiot because turns out she's nasty too. It's ironic that her one good song made such use of the word "cunt" because it pretty much sums her up too. "Everything I do must be for my own benefit". What a great motto to live your life by! And by the way Azealia, no, you are not an "icon". You've had one single.

I follow Yoko Ono on Twitter because her tweets are hilariously odd-ball, and sometimes oddly beautiful. She has never compromised her nuttiness and I like that about her. And here's a suitably nutty video that Yoko made for fashion label Opening Ceremony.
