Alex and Liam are an English and a Scottish guy hanging out in Los Angeles who go and explore US megamarket Walmart and have their minds blown. They seem like fun boys.

Dublin photographer Donal Maloney has a treadmill in his shed that he runs on every morning while listening to music - which gets pretty boring. So to make it more fun he started filming himself lip syncing to songs as he ran. Next thing you know he's raiding his wife's and his kids' clothes and his morning runs sre becoming full on productions. And then everyone wants to get involved - or at least Dublin radio personalities anyway. People like Ray Darcy, Ian Dempsey and Matt Cooper.
Here's Donal and some models doing The Lion Sleeps Tonight, but there are many more on YouTube.

Remember Chris Crocker of "Leave Britney alone!" fame? Course you do. What you probably didn't know is that he now looks like that, above. Yes, that's him. He still makes YouTube videos, and he's more recognisable on video.
Anygay, with his new look, he's branching out... into porn. And not just any old homemade-on-a-phone porn. No, he's making his first movie with a big porn production company and the movie will be directed by big-time porn director Chi Chi LaRue.
"I've already exposed every other part of myself on camera," Crocker said in today's press release. "Having sex on camera with a stranger is actually a lot less revealing than many of the things I've posted on YouTube. The real question for me is: What is porn? Is it a lewd and lascivious exposure of yourself? Because I've done that clothed. I'm not just doing this to make a buck. It's just an addition to my artistry." Channel 1 Releasing principal Chi Chi LaRue will direct Crocker's erotic debut. "As a DJ, I play his music a lot and I love his videos where he tells it like it is," Ms. LaRue said. "I want this movie to leave people asking themselves about the very nature of pornography and I want to incorporate everything that is Chris Crocker-the video diary entries, the music, the artist, the freak." Mr. Sechrest adds the deal is "rumored to be one of the biggest in the history of gay adult cinema."

According to a new study which looked at the DNA of bears, all polar bears are descended from a single mommy bear who lived in Ireland during the last ice age.
I think I know her.

Over Time is a short film about a group of puppets who discover their creator has died, and have to come to terms with his death. In less than five minutes the film manages to be charming, sweet, funny, creepy and sad. It also seems to be a kind of tribute to Jim Henson - the Kermit-like puppets who at one point wear Swedish Chef style hats certainly make it hard not to think of Henson.

Some time back I posted the video of an entertaining debate on the motion, "Is the catholic Church a force for good in the world", which pitted Stephen Fry and Christopher Hitchens against Ann Widdecombe and Archbishop John Olorunfemi Onaiyekan. (It was no contest!)
Now part of the debate, featuring Stephen and Ann has been animated.

Miss Opus Gei's 2010 Alternative Miss Ireland performance became the subject of a US academic's paper (or something), and is also part of a lecture by academic and huge gay Donal Mulligan to be delivered at a conference this week. And there was me just thinking it was a bit of nutty drag blasphemy!

John Lautner (no relation to Taylor that I'm aware of!) was an influential American architect who's buildings in Southern Caifornia helped define an era and have been (and continues to be) featured in many movies and on TV, from James Bond to The Simpsons, where they are shorthand for cool, modern, futuristc, and wealthy.
Here's a fun montage of his houses on screen.
