The Civil Partnership Bill has it's final Dáil stage tomorrow when the amended bill will be debated and voted on. If passed by the Dáil, it will then go to the Seanad. The debate/vote is scheduled for 5pm, to finish by 9pm.
You can listen to the debate live HERE (choose Dáil Eireann)
As the final stages approach, the homophobes and religious nuts are ratcheting up their campaign against the bill. This was the scene outside the Dáil today, and there'll be more of them there tomorrow, as will members of the gay community to add balance and sanity.

And on a related note, the Irish Times ran a rebuttal to this nonsense today.
Partnership is a civil entity - not a religious one

Humans are very imaginative masturbators. In fact, an imagination may be a necessary prerequisite for tossing one out or flicking the bean, and that makes us very special wankers.

So you're in a youth choir and you're singing Lenny Kravitz' Fly Away on some steps in a plaza in Kentucky, when who walks up only sex God Lenny Kravitz himself (oooh Mommy!) and joins in. Eeeek!

MILK, Ireland's first outdoor gay music festival is happening on August 14th in the grounds of Ballinlough Castle in Co Westmeath.
It's set to be a fun day out, with various stages and areas, and a main stage that features everything from trashy nostalgia pop (Samantha Fox, Right Said Fred, Bananarama etc), to dance acts (Seb Fontaine, Bodyrox etc) to current gay favourites (Roisin Murphy, Alexandra Burke, Sophie Ellis-Bextor etc).
There's also comedy and alternative stages, and a host of local acts like Katherine Lynch, Veda, Cuckoo Savante, Corrugated Tunnel etc running around in wellies and (hopefully) shorts and sunglasses.
Should be a good laugh, though I'm not sure how much I'll get to see because I'm hosting the main stage and it's programmed for twelve hours! I'd better get the comfortable sandals out.

Like a lot of people I guess, I was most excited to see Roisín Murphy on the line-up. She's doing a DJ set, but in an interview with the Metro last week about her Milk appearance she said she'll be singing live and bringing a big show element to it, so I'm happy.
"I've started to get quite adventurous with the sound equipment so can manipulate the tracks more freely and experiment with mixes and edits. There's a big performance element to the show with visuals projected on stage and I'll be singing over the tracks too, so I hope people enjoy it."
And is she looking forward to her Milk experience?
"Absolutely," she says. "If there's one thing the gay community loves it's a mad bird. I've a feeling I'm going to be licked all over"

You can get the full line up, info on travel and tickets etc HERE, and fingers crossed for good weather. Festivals are always fun, but running around the grounds of a big castle in the sunshine with thousands of queers would be perfect.

Warning: if a blue blob shagging (and shagging and shagging and shagging and taking drugs and indulging in auto-erotic asphyxiation and shagging...) offends you, do not press play, because this blue blob does a lot of shagging.

This is what happens when you've been pulling your hair into tight braids to anchor your weave for too long. Is it any wonder she has such a temper? She must have been in constant pain with those wrenched braids.
I shudder to think what Beyonce's head is like.

The profile certainly looks familiar, and the internet is convinced that this "male" model, "Jo Calderone", shot for Vogue Homme, is in fact La Gaga.

And while we're on the Gaga wan, check out Grandpa Gaga putting the kids to shame.
