Iris Robinson's "lovely psychiatrist" is currently being investigated by the General Medical Council after being reported by the Independent journalist who posed as a gay patient seeking "conversion therapy". Good.
But that kind of crap is still all too common, and here's a short piece about three different Australian gays who's religious convictions drove them to conversion therapy. Two of them eventually came to their senses, but one of them is now married with two kids, and tries to kill the gay by bible study, and hanging out with guys and doing "guy stuff".

Birdemic is a movie and labour of love for it's 42 year old Vietnamese refugee director, and although it hasn't even "premiered" yet (in a very, very limited release in Los Angeles) it's already on it's way to becoming an instant so-bad-its-good classic, thanks to the power of the internet and a few famous cheerleaders (e.g. one of the creators of Lost has been enthusiastically Twittering about it). It's heavily influenced by Hitchcock's The Birds, and apparently there's a cameo by Tippi Hendron herself.
Here's the trailer. Stay with it till the action starts! It's worth it.

UPDATE: Steve in the comments pointed me in the direction of this website, Birdemic Warning. According to a very angry lady, the director of Birdemic is an asshole who doesn't pay anyone, among other sins. She doesn't hold back. He owes her $200, which may not sound like a lot, but boy is she pissed off.

Tickets for the Alternative Miss Ireland on March 14th are selling like hot cakes. The more expensive "circle" is already sold out, so there are only standing tickets and seats up in "the gods" left. Get your's HERE.

It looks so spectacular. I have got to go sometime....
This was the winning float. Winning is a huge deal for the different "samba schools".
And in case you need this post to be a bit gayer, here's Lourdes Leon-Ciccone and her entourage enjoying Carnival.

And I believe that's Gerard Butler behind Lourdes' mother in the bottom pic. He's not credited in the photo, but because I spend a lot of time on Brazilian websites (what?!) I know he's in Rio.

March 19th is too early, and March 21st is too late, but March 20th is just right. That's what Goldilocks told me anyway.

Because it turns out that liberal atheist types are statistically smarter than conservative types, and in males, are more likely to be monogamous. Not that the heathen pinko lefty commie fags who read this blog needed a study to tell them that.
You can feel smug and smart by reading all about it HERE.
Evolutionary psychologist Satoshi Kanazawa at the the London School of Economics and Political Science correlated data on these behaviors with IQ from a large national U.S. sample and found that, on average, people who identified as liberal and atheist had higher IQs. This applied also to sexual exclusivity in men, but not in women. The findings will be published in the March 2010 issue of Social Psychology Quarterly.

You might remember Tricia Walsh-Smith as the wild-eyed "YouTube Divorcee", and if you're watching Pineapple Dance Studios (the best thing on TV at the moment) then you know her as wild-eyed aspiring pop-star Tricia Walsh-Smith. Either way, here's her first pop video, and appropriately enough, it's bonkers.

I don't really know what else to say. Except that according to the info on YouTube, this is a "turn on" for some people. Anyway, here you are...
