Dublin City Council Invitation for submissions and/or suggestions on possible renaming of Archbishop Ryan Park Dublin City Council invites submissions and/or suggestions from members of the public and interested parties on the possible renaming of Archbishop Ryan Park, Merrion Square, Dublin 2. Those sending submissions/suggestions on the issue should state: 1. If they favour renaming Archbishop Ryan Park 2. If in favour, the suggested name If including reasons for a suggested new name, please restrict this to a maximum of 300 words. My suggestion is that as many people as possible suggest in their own words why they'd like the park to be named for Oscar, but not to use a form letter. There are over 2,000 members of the facebook group - if each person wrote a form letter, it would somehow diminish the impact. So, why not make your suggestion as poetically as possible? Oscar means a lot of things to a lot of different people in many different ways, so get creative! Please join the facebook group (link below) if you'd like to be kept updated about the campaign.
