PantiBar : Panti's Blog Job

The "gay" Spar on the corner of Dame St and Georges St, less than ten yards from The George and slap bang in the middle of gay-town, is at the centre of an allegation of homophobic assault that is quickly going viral on the internet after being posted to Spar Ireland's Facebook page. Spar hasn't responded on their page yet but they'd want to do so soon because it's already creating a lot of anger online.

While I don't think calling customers names is acceptable, I do think the lads should have kept their PDA to a minimum. Most people are uncomfortable seeing this and their wishes should be respected.

Whilst I can understand it and still think there's a major complaint to be made, and am disturbed to think multiple people ganged in on him, their case will lose some points in the eyes of some for having pushed the security guy first. Still, pretty disturbing.

I agree with TW This incidnet should be highlighted ,reported to the Gards and be broguht to the medias attention. You may think i am overreacting re the media comment ,BUT you always hear on the radio/papers when gay issues come up,thatis being gay today is not like it was in the past and it is easy. Well I am sorry homophobia is alive and well in 2013 and we must highlight this.

incident should be reported to Perse Street Garda and complaint made under the Incitement to Hatred Act (1988).
