This version of Like A Virgin that Madge is doing on the MDNA tour (this was filmed in Berlin) is dividing the Madonna tribe. People seem to either hate it because the song is almost unrecognisable with every hint of it's fun, pop origins stripped away, while others love it for exactly that reason. All the Gaga fans online are slating it because they think she sounds terrible - though that seems to me to entirely miss the point. Sure she doesn't sound like Maria Callas, but that's hardly the intent of this intense, vaguely Germanic/Dietrich performance. Around the 3:15 mark she breaks down crying (or she's been getting acting lessons again... argue among yourselves), and later she gets winched into a corset - and as a woman who is regularly winched into a corset, I feel her pain.
