On our walk today Penny and I had a look at artist Fergal MacCarthy on his little "tropical" island floating in the Liffey. No Man's Land is an installation as part of the Fringe Festival and he will be living on the island for the next week, dressed in his "developers" suit and surrounded by the gleaming glass and steel products of the Celtic Tiger - and of course only yards downstream from the hulking decaying shell of the doomed Anglo Irish headquarters.
MacCarthy is the same guy who floated the giant Monopoly houses in the river during last year's Fringe.
The weather was a little blustery and changeable today, but nice enough, however with this storm heading our way tonight, rather him than me.
